Wolcott & Bellyache Ridge
Spectacular mountain views. Seven miles west of Edwards. Here, you can get away from it all and be minutes away from the Vail Valley ski resorts. In the early 1900s it was one of the largest cattle shipping centers in the Western United States. Today, ranching heirs have turned Wolcott into a thriving social and gourmet attraction with The Wolcott Yacht Club, a local's favorite for lunch. In Wolcott, outdoor adventure awaits you. Whitewater rafting, fly-fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding and a rod-and-gun club.

CLIMATE:
The lower elevation of the valley offers mild spring and fall weather and warmer summers with temperatures averaging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s. A cooler climate is featured in the alpine forests of juniper and aspens at the higher elevations.

Both have been named the "Top 10 You Can Play in the U.S." by Golf Magazine. A private course, Eagle Springs, is also located nearby.
RECREATION:
In addition to golf, whitewater rafting and kayaking, fly-fishing, horseback riding and a rod and gun club in Wolcott. Wolcott has been named one of the Vail Valley's best places for rock climbing.
MEDICAL FACILITIES:
The Vail Valley Medical Center features a main hospital in Vail Village, regional health clinics from Vail to Eagle and the Shaw Regional Cancer Center in Edwards.
